Wow! I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana many years ago, in the late 90s. Where are you staying? I was in nurses quarters at the hospital there, spent two years as a water and sanitation volunteer. My neighbor was Rose, she took great care of me and is probably still there. I had a cat Pep (dead now) but she will remember that cat. Also the Zoogah family was very helpful. So excited you are there. I had no electricity or running water – has that changed? DOes the doctor still ride a motorcycle? It was the only one in town. Stay well!
